Kadyrov boasts about mentioning "Akhmat" in Kremlin
The head of Chechnya has reacted to Putin's mentioning of two "Akhmat" units in the list of the units that took part in battles in the Kursk Region, dedicating a separate post to this in his Telegram channel. Apti Alaudinov, the commander of the "Akhmat" special-purpose troops, reported that the unit has not yet changed its location.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has named, while announcing the restoration of control over the territory of the Kursk Region, a number of units that took part in the battles, including the "Akhmat".
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has indicated that Putin had highly appreciated the contribution of all the military units that liberated the Kursk Region, including the fighters of the “Akhmat” special regiments of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) under the command of Apti Alaudinov, and the fighters of the "Zakat" 1434th motorized rifle regiment of the 42nd “Akhmat-Chechnya” division under the command of Aslambek Saliev. "It is a great honour for the personnel of the ‘Akhmat’ special units of the ‘Akhmat-Chechnya’ regiment and all of us to hear such a high assessment from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Apti Alaudinov, the “Akhmat” special units will remain in the border areas with Ukraine.
