Resident of Saint Petersburg asks Ingush children’s ombudsperson to find her children
Ingush Ombudsperson Zarema Chakhkieva reported that a resident of Saint Petersburg contacted her. The woman is looking for her children taken by her former husband to Ingushetia.
On May 17, on her page on the “VKontakte” social networking service, Zarema Chakhkieva reported about an appeal from the resident of Saint Petersburg.
The woman from Saint Petersburg complained that her former husband took their children to Ingushetia against her will, despite the fact that she is the children’s legal representative. The woman claimed that her former husband had thus violated her parental rights and endangered the well-being of the children. The woman asked the children’s ombudsperson to help find out her children’s whereabouts.
Zarema Chakhkieva reports that “official requests to the relevant authorities” have already been sent and all measures are being taken to “establish the location of the children and protect their rights.”
