Security services report prevention of terror act in Krasnodar Territory

A man who was planning to commit a terror act in the administrative building at one of the energy facilities has been detained in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the FSB, the detained Russian citizen was transmitting information to Ukraine about the movements of military ships and was preparing a terror act.

"It has been established that in February 2025, the figurant was recruited by the Ukrainian special service by using the WhatsApp* messenger for obtaining intelligence information in the territory of Russia," the “Interfax” quotes the Russian special service as saying. "He was photographing military facilities and collecting information about the movements of the Black Sea Fleet ships."

The FSB has stated that, following another order from his curator, "the detainee had planned to remove a 2.5 kg improvised explosion device (IED) from a hiding place for committing subsequent detonation in the administrative building of one of the region's energy facilities."

The detainee had intended to blow up the administrative building of an energy facility in the city of Novorossiysk, the RIA “Novosti” has clarifies.
