Next "ecological landing" will be made in October
The Stavropol Regional Public Organization "All-Russian Society of Nature Conservation" is summing up the days of protection from ecological danger that took place at the end of March - the beginning of June.
As the chairwoman of the organization said, the main "protectors" during those days were school children. They brought order to small river and spring beds, planted trees. Children from the Nevinnomissk and Budyonovsk town naturalist stations cultivated planting stock and gave it to firms and organizations.
About 2000 new trees in total were planted in the region during those days. The next "ecological landing" will be made in the Stavropol region at the end of October - the beginning of November. The organization plans to use 10 thousand rubles collected by activists for buying saplings and to plant them in the towns and villages of the region.
