Russian human rights activists will conduct independent monitoring of Chechen presidential election

Moscow Helsinki Group Chairwoman Lyudmila Alekseyeva announced it.

According to her words, some breaches were committed during the election campaign in Chechnya. For example, an acting president has been already termed a president.

Alekseyeva also says the majority of the Chechen population does not support Akhmad Kadirov's candidacy.
