Son of the administration head of the Dokuzparinskiy District of Dagestan is suspected of ordering Farid Babaev's murder
On March 4, two suspects of murdering Farid Babaev, leader of the Dagestan branch of the "Yabloko" Party, were brought the Tyumen Region of Russia to Dagestan.
According to the information obtained by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from a source in the law enforcement bodies, one of the detainees is Abas Abasov, son of Kerimkhan Abasov, head of the administration of the Dokuzparinskiy District of the Republic. According to the investigation, he was the customer of the crime, while its direct executor was the second arrested person - Rakhil Mamedrizaev, a resident of the village of Miskindzha.
So far, the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Prosecutor's Office for Dagestan gives no comments on this information. However, the "Kommersant" newspaper reports (in its No. 36-3853 of March 5, 2008) that Abas Abasov is suspected as the customer of Farid Babaev's murder, since the latter had made repeated attempts to bring Kerimkhan Abasov and local militiamen to criminal liability for shelling the peaceful demonstration in the Dokuzparinskiy District in April 2008.
