Moscow court suspends website "Ingushetia.Ru"

Today, the Kuntsevo District Court of Moscow has suspended the operation of the oppositional website "Ingushetia.Ru" until consideration on the merits during preliminary hearing to take place on June 5 under the application of the Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia.

The court ruling obliges all the Internet providers to stop access to the website.

We remind you that the last court session took place on May 15, 2008, at the Kuntsevo Court of Moscow behind the closed door. The demand to hold closed sessions is motivated by the fact that the website is allegedly placing materials of extremist nature. In their turn, the lawyers representing the interests of the website state that its work cannot be banned, since the website is registered in the USA.

The statement of the "Ingushetia.Ru" marks that for the first time in the history of Russian Internet a ruling was passed in support of a legal claim to suspend an information web resource.
