Guarding of Russian military railwaymen in Abkhazia strengthened
After two explosions on June 18 in Sukhumi suburb, the guard of Russian railway troop servicemen, who are repairing the railway in Abkhazia, was intensified.
Explosives of unidentified type were blown up with a five-minute interval at 5:35 and 5:40 p.m. Moscow time at the distance of 50 meters in an auxiliary railway branch in Sinop District in Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia. Nobody has suffered and nothing was destroyed. In the morning, machinery of Russian railwaymen was working in this railway section.
"None of our soldiers was wounded. Currently, the railway units are especially thoroughly guarded," a spokesman of the headquarters of the Russian Railway Troops in Abkhazia told the RIA "Novosti".
