Opponents of pipeline Baku-Jeikhan construction believe it is risky to build it until regional conflicts are settled
Representatives of non-government organizations protesting against the construction of the pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Jeikhan (BTJ) held a press conference in Baku yesterday.
Caucasian NGOs Confederation Head Mais Gyulaliev, a vehement opponent of the pipeline construction, declared that it would be a risk to build BTJ until the conflicts in Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia were settled.
It is known now that these days the pipe-line opponents are meeting the EBRD representatives and discussing the influence of BTJ on the environment. Gyulaliyev also said that the pipeline operator - the British Petroleum Company was obliged to express its attitude to the Karabah conflict.
