Ebzeyev's appointment president of Karachaevo-Cherkesia planned on August 5

On Tuesday, August 5, the parliament of Karachaevo-Cherkesia will consider the candidature of  Boris Ebzeyev,  nominated by the Russian resident Dmitri Medvedev, for granting him the powers of the republic's president.

Sergei Smorodin, speaker of the Karachaevo-Cherkesia parliament, informed journalists today that Boris Ebzeyev was going to be approved because he "fully conforms with the rank of a region leader".

The republic's Public Assembly chairman hopes that the new president, with the assistance of the federal center, will be able to stabilize the complicated political and economic situation in Karachaevo-Cherkesia.

Magomet Sanglibayev, deputy of the republic's Public Assembly, has also expressed his approval of Boris Ebzeyev. He is sure that the "country's leadership has taken a grounded decision, and the parliament is going to approve the new president".
