Military departments of Armenia and Germany discuss possible ways of cooperation
A delegation of the German military headed by the deputy chief of the German Defense Ministry's Department for Armament and Military-Political Problems, Brigadier General Jurgen Bornemann visited Armenia these days.
As it was reported at the meeting with journalists, the military departments of Armenia and Germany were discussing possible ways of cooperation. In particular, they came to the agreement to pay periodic visits to each other and also to organize military training of Armenian servicemen in Germany.
Brigadier General Bornemann mentioned that his country was inclined to establish military cooperation with all the three countries of the Southern Caucasus. He said that Germany had long been considering it, seeing the Karabah conflict as a main obstacle. Nonetheless, Brigadier General stressed Germany believes that the situation in the Caucasian region will stabilize and that will also be a security for stability in Europe.
