Attack on militaries investigated in Ingushetia

The investigatory bodies of Ingushetia are clearing out the circumstances of an armed attack on the militaries of the federal troops, as a result of which four employees of the Russian MIA were lost. The incident happened in the afternoon yesterday, on September 17, in the Sunzha District of the Republic.

"On September 17, at about 2:15 p.m., in the suburb of Galashki village, Sunzha District, unidentified persons opened automatic fire on the URAL truck with soldiers of internal troops. Under preliminary data, the truck housed four militiamen sent to Ingushetia to take their service. All of them were killed. The criminals, or the criminal, managed to disappear from the place of the crime, presumably, in the large forest located nearby," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a source in the law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported on September 15th that in the course of the special operation conducted in Verkhnie Achaluki village, Malgobek District of Ingushetia, Alexander Nagovitsyn, First Deputy Head of the Republic's FSB Department, was killed. In total, in the special operation, four law enforcers and militants were killed. Eight power agents were wounded.

On September 9 in Nazran, unknown persons shot from a pistol Mussa Balkoev, head of the Russian Pension Fund Branch for Ingushetia, at the gate of his own house. Mr Balkoev was heavily wounded and hospitalized.

We remind you that during the special operation on September 7 in the municipal district Plievskiy of the city of Nazran, six militants were killed. Plenty of weapon and ammunition were found in the place of the incident.

At night of September 7, in Nazran, the house of Tamara Khautieva, Deputy Chair of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia, was shelled. Fortunately, there were no casualties or victims.

On August 29, in Ingushetia, in the city of Karabulak, another special operation to neutralize a group of militants was conducted. Two of them were killed, and one was detained.

On August 28, a counterterrorist operation was held in Surkhakhi village, Nazran District of Ingushetia.

The previous counterterrorist operation, as the "Caucasian Knot" had reported, took place on July 19 in Sagopshi village of the Malgobek District.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
