New tender for right to rent land plots in "Azov-City" to be held in Rostov region

A tender for the right to rent land plots in the "Azov-City" gambling zone will be held soon in Rostov region. The new tender is connected with the fact that two winners of the previous tender - Casinos Austria and "Formula-1" - have dropped from participation in the project.

"Two other companies, Moscow casino network and a local company, have expressed their intention to rent these land plots", - states Sergei Nazarov, deputy governor of Rostov region. "These market operators have informed us that they intend to open gambling business in "Azov-City" by July 1 next year".

The Rostov region administration bought 1000 hectares of land in the Azov district at 50,000 rubles per one hectare. Initially, it allocated 250 hectares for building "Azov-City". In July this year they held a tender for the right to rent land plots in Rostov region. 16 land plots were offered (1.5 hectares each). As a result, the region administration concluded investment contracts with 7 companies which announced their intention to build their sites in 14 plots of the gambling zone.
