Resident of Argun kidnapped by unknown persons in Chechnya

The law enforcement bodies of Chechnya are finding out the circumstances of the incident that took place last night in Argun, the third city of Chechnya. A local woman-resident addressed the militia with a statement that at night on February 4 a group of armed persons kidnapped her adult son.

"She said that on February 3 at about 10 p.m. a group of five armed persons in uniform rushed into her house located in Mira Street. Without any explanations these unidentified persons arrested her adult son and took him away in an unknown direction," said a source in the militia.

It is not the first case of kidnapping; several of them have happened in the territory of the Chechen Republic in recent weeks. Thus, on January 2, in the city of Gudermes, unidentified persons in military uniform kidnapped local resident Salman Mutaev, 24. On January 8, it became known that in the Urus-Martan District, armed persons in camouflage kidnapped a man, who drove a foreign-made car in direction of Grozny.
