Kardanov's mother asserts that her son could not take part in attack on Nalchik

Mother of Murat Kardanov, who was first registered as a perished attacker on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, and then detained on December 30, 2008, in Zolukokoazhe village, asserts that her son could not be among the participants of the attack, since he was very sick and hid at home.

According to Lydia Kardanova, Murat's mother, with whom the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent met, her son went from Zolukokoazhe to Nalchik on October 12, 2005, for getting examined at the Medical-Labour Experts Commission (the so-called "VTEK"). Murat returned home on October 13 in the evening. And on October 14, Mrs Kardanova was invited to the rural assembly, where the list of lost residents in the attack was announced.

Murat Kardanov was mentioned in the list, although at that time he was already at home. His mother preferred to keep silent, as Murat was very sick - in 2003, he was operated on in Moscow with amputation of a lung and all the ribs of the left rear part of the thorax.

All these three years Murat lived at home. In the daytime he hid in a small shed in the yard and came into the house in the evening. On December 30, 2008, an operative group arrived to the Kardanovs and captured Murat.

Lydia Kardanova said that after events on October 13, 2005, she twice gave blood for genetic examination. Then, an official paper arrived confirming that Murat had died. Recently, when it became known that Murat Kardanov is alive, the paper was recalled.
