Yesterday at 4 p.m. an attempt of a terror act was undertaken on the "Caucasus" Highway between the cities of Chegem and Baksan. A 4 kg trotyl explosive was blown up at the moment when a minibus was passing by. Under informal data, the minibus was transporting militiamen from the city of Armavir who moved to Nalchik as reinforcement to supervise the public order in the period of celebrations.

Nobody has suffered as a result of the explosion.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Prosecutor's Office of the Chegem District that a criminal case was initiated on the fact of the "Caucasus" Highway explosion.

We remind you that this is the third explosion in Kabardino-Balkaria during the last week, this time, fortunately, without casualties. The first two explosions happened in the Elborus District - on August 31 and on September 5. Both explosions were of directed action and took place in direct proximity from locations of law enforcement bodies.
