Parliament of Georgia resumes work after two-month break

Today the Parliament of Georgia has restarted its work after a forced two-month break caused by protest actions of the opposition demanding resignation of President Mikhail Saakashvili.

The MPs entered the building of the Parliament two hours before the start of the extraordinary session appointed by the President of Georgia.

The agenda of today's extraordinary session of the Parliament of Georgia includes 101 points, as reported by GHN. Some members of the parliamentary opposition plan to be present at the session.

David Bakradze, Speaker of the Parliament, has expressed hope that the opposition will not disrupt the work of the Parliament. Despite it, oppositionists have gathered at the entrance to the building of the supreme legislative body. After the end of the session, they plan to organize "a corridor of shame" for the MPs, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
