Near Georgian Parliament Participants protesters collect letters to detained comrades

The collection of letters for those detained at protest actions was organized near the Georgian Parliament. Daily protests against the suspension of European integration have been held in Georgia for the 42nd day in a row.

On January 7, on the 41st day of protests, near the Georgian Parliament, activists placed posters with the "achievements" of the ruling "Georgian Dream" Party. They include the law on foreign agents and Georgian citizens' outflow abroad.

Traditionally, protesters against the suspension of negotiations on Georgia's European integration have blocked traffic on Rustaveli Avenue near the building of the Georgian Parliament, the "Interpressnews" has reported. The marchers who demand to provide airtime for socio-political discussions have joined them.

The rally continued collecting letters addressed to the arrested protesters who are under threat of serious prison terms – there are more than 30 of them. Anyone can write a letter under the slogan "Freedom for Regime Prisoners", the "News of Georgia" News Agency has reported.
