Downpour in Pyatigorsk brings 30-million-worth damage
Experts have computed the damage caused by storm rains on July 10 to the economy of the city of Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Territory. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the information department of the City Duma of Pyatigorsk that under a tentative estimate, the overall damage has made more than 30 million roubles.
According to official data of the City Duma, the Department of Public Safety of Pyatigorsk Administration received 437 applications from citizens related to flooding. At present, water is pumped out of 111 households; and the works go on. Eleven apartment houses had been disconnected from electricity, but it was restored by the evening on July 10.
20 persons addressed for medical aid to public health establishments: 14 patients with traumas take their out-patient treatment, three were hospitalized (their condition is stable, and now they are prepared for discharging), three others were provided with psychological help. No casualties were registered.
