Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia demands tougher punishment to conditionally sentenced bookkeeper
The Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia demands to cancel the conditional sentence passed to Salman Archkhoev, an employee of the Department for Housing and Utilities (DHU), accused of embezzling a huge sum of money, earlier by the Sunzha District Court.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it at the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia. A respective cassation presentation demanding to cancel the verdict was already brought to the court.
According to the Office, Archkhoev, while being Chief Accountant of the DHU of the Sunzha District, had embezzled 93,808,296 roubles of budget money.
"Salman Archkhoev was found guilty of committing a fulfilment of grave crime, which is of socially dangerous character as a corruption crime. Besides, huge budgetary money was stolen, intended for the system of housing and communal services for privileged categories of citizens, which creates conditions both for social tension and essential aggravation of the sanitary-and-epidemiological situation in this sphere," a source from the Office said.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent could not get any comments from the advocate who represents Archkhoev's interests.
