Gorlov: trial of opponents of the "children's curfew" in Krasnodar Territory was held with violations
The actions of the Novorossisk Court in the case of appealing against the acts of the prosecutor's office, which had passed at the same time a presentation, a caution and a warning to the supporters of cancellation of the "children's law" in the Krasnodar Territory, were accompanied by rough violations; therefore, the human rights activists' complaint was denied. This was stated by Stanislav Gorlov, a lawyer of the Moscow ANO "YURIX", who defended the interests of the Novorossisk human rights activists.
On September 3, the Krasnodar Territorial Court held the final hearing on the case of appealing against the acts of the prosecutor's office undertaken against Tamara Karastelyova, executive director of the ANO "Novorossisk Committee for Human Rights".
Roman Dyachenko, Judge of the Oktiabrskiy District Court of Novorossisk, rejected Ms Karastelyova's complaint against the actions of the prosecutor's office.
"The trial passed with serious violations of the law. The judge would not let representatives of the victim and the audience to open judicial sessions; he made use of biased and far-fetched 'expert's conclusions' with anti-American thrusts; he incorrectly defined the circumstances relevant for the case; he incorrectly applied the norms of the material law; his decision is based on an incomplete study of the evidences; and the conclusions of the court contradict to the circumstances of the case," Stanislav Gorlov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
