North-Ossetian athlete is world champion in free-style wrestling
On September 21, Hadjimurad Gatsalov, a sportsman from Vladikavkaz, won the first golden medal for the national team of Russia at the world championship in free-style wrestling, held in Danish city of Hoerning. After defeating Khetag Gozyumov, Azerbaijan, a prize-winner of the Beijing Olympiad, Gatsalov became the quadruple world champion.
Bronze medals were won by Georgiy Gogshelidze, Georgia, and Serkhat Balchi, Turkey, the "NEWSru.com" reports.
The symbolical Ossetian "national team" has two medals after the first day of the tournament: golden one of Hadjimurad Gatsalov and silver one of Khetag Gozyumov, as reported by the website "Osradio.ru".
