Ingushetia: fate of three missing persons still unknown
Relatives of three residents of Ingushetia, supposedly kidnapped by power agents, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they were still unaware of their fate.
Magomed Oziev was taken away from his home by armed people on September 5, 2009. His father Boris Oziev believes that the attackers were power agents: "judging by their behaviour, regimentals and armoured helmets, available to power agents only; and by their armoured machinery." The kidnappers said that they would take Magomed to the operative-search bureau.
The fate of Maskhud Makhloev, a resident of Sleptsovskaya village, Sunzha District, kidnapped from his house, and Aliskhan Pliev, a resident of Plievo village, Nazran District, is also unknown. Their relatives also assert that power agents were involved.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent could not get any comments of law enforcement bodies on these incidents.
Let us note here that extrajudicial executions and kidnappings have become more frequent in Ingushetia recently.
Magomed Mutsolgov, a human rights activist and a member of the expert's board at the Russian Ombudsman, also expressed his concern of the above facts to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to the human rights organization "Mashr", headed by him, from the start of 2009, about 300 persons were killed in the republic.
"We choke in blood. There's no real fight against arbitrariness, that is, murders and kidnappings. These crimes got back to the level of the former president Murat Zyazikov. Today, even more are killed. Unfortunately, this year human rights defenders have much more work," the human rights activist has noted.
