Ingush migration service intends to liquidate tent camps in near future
Commandants of the tent camps of refugees from the Chechen Republic living in Ingushetia were assembled for a meeting at the Ingush Interior Ministry's Migration Department in Nazran on October 9, 2003. Department head Akhmed Parchiyev announced to them that unexampled pressure from the direction of the federal migration service was put upon their department, so he was forced to inform tents in all the places of compact residence were to be removed by October 11. While answering the question where people living there today, including women and children, should be stationed in a cold season, he said it was not his problem, but the one of the commandants. "Station where you want," said Parchiyev. He also recommended people to return to Chechnya as, according to his words, nothing threatened them their or to rent quarters in the private sector at their own expense.
