"Rostekhnadzor" bans new "Electrozink" emissions

The Russian Federal Service on Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (known as "Rostekhnadzor") has considered the application of liberal-democrats of Northern Ossetia dealing with the adverse ecological situation due to emissions of the "Electrozink" factory.

The factory has presented an action programme for nature protection in 2010, allocating 161,610 roubles to protection of atmospheric air, including 154,300 roubles on reconstruction of the sulphuric production facility in 2011.

However, the "Rostekhnadzor" refused to sanction new emissions to "Electrozink", stating that a 2010 action plan aiming to decrease emissions for the new term should be presented and coordinated in the established order.
