Abducted Chechens will be searched for in Russian prisons

Information about a thousand of missing Chechens is to be delivered to the Ministry of Justice and send to regional human rights organizations this week, reported the "Noviye Izvestiya". Chairwoman of the Human Rights Foundation "Vozvrascheniye" (The Return) Kheda Saratova asserts that many of the people being searched for are alive and kept in Russian prisons. "Vozvrascheniye" Foundation was established a month ago to assist in the search of the missing. Over a thousand forms have been collected by today. The context of abductions is the same for almost everybody - a night, men in masks, and an armored troop carrier with stained number plates. People are sure their relatives were abducted by federal military men, not by militants. The militants have no armored equipment. Young men are captured in the main. Information about abductions committed already after the presidential elections of October 5 is in the forms collected by the foundation too. Over 3,000 people have disappeared without a trace for the last for years in Chechnya, according to the human rights activists.
