Police patrol guarding polling station was attacked in Chechnya
Unidentified people shelled a police patrol guarding polling station 232 from sub-machineguns in the Ayti-Mokhk settlement, Chechnya's Nozhay-Yurt district, on Sunday, killing a police private Akha Akhmatukayev. It was reported at the interior ministry of the Chechen Republic.
According to the ministry's data, the criminals apparently wanted to seize the policemen's weapons. They got hold of two Kalashnikovs and a Makarov pistol.
The attackers are being searched for.
