National Movement leader Mikhail Saakashvili: 2-thousand contingent of Adjarian police to be shifted to Tbilisi

Speaking at the first session of the resistance committee headquarters on Sunday, leader of the National Movement Mikhail Saakashvili said he had information that a 2-thousand police contingent of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic would be shifted from Batumi to Tbilisi on Monday.

"Two thousand Adjarian police in mufti are about to arrange provocations in the places where the opposition holds meetings against the official authorities," announced Mikhail Saakashvili. According to him, President Shevardnadze distrusts the police of Tbilisi, so he decided to use Aslan Abashidze's help.
