Political forum against actions of radical opposition to be held in Tbilisi
On November 18, a political forum under the slogan "No to fascism and extremism!" is to be held in the capital of Georgia on the initiative of the Revival Party, which is led by head of the Adjarian Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze. The action is to take place simultaneously at the Sport Palace, at the City Philharmonic Hall, at Tbilisi's theatres and houses of culture. Over 40 thousand people, including 20 thousand from Adjaria, are expected to be action participants.
According to First Deputy Chair of the Revival Party Djemal Gogitidze, this is a way of people's voicing a protest against the radical opposition, which is trying to destabilize a situation in Georgia.
Adjarian Interior Minister Ilya Tsulukidze said political forum participants would be convoyed by 200 policemen of the autonomous republic when moving to Tbilisi. The same policemen would provide their safety in Tbilisi as well.
