Inspectors believe that Domodedovo terror act was committed by suicide bomber

The experts, who examined the scene of the explosion in Domodedovo, came to the conclusion that a suicide bomber blew himself up in the terminal building. Supposedly, his head was found in the venue.

On Monday, January 24, at about 4:25 p.m., the arrival hall of international airlines of the Moscow's Domodedovo Airport was staggered by a powerful explosion.

According to a source from the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), the explosive device was a so-called "shahid's belt". "The bomb was apparently attached to a person's body under the clothes, since there is no crater at the blast site. Usually, when a bomb is triggered in the open space, a crater is formed; and with such bomb power the crater should have been quite deep. Most probably, the bomb was attached somewhere in the area of the belt," the "Gazeta.Ru" reports with reference to its source at the Russian MfE.

The terror act in Domodedovo could be organized by three men, who temporarily lived near Moscow, the TV Channel "Russia 24" has reported with reference to its sources from law enforcement bodies.

Russian special services possessed some information that a suicide bomber was present somewhere in the Moscow region; however, he was looked for at night on January 24 not in Moscow, but in Zelenograd near Moscow, where quite a lot of security agents went but found nothing, as the "Rosbalt" writes with reference to its own source.
