Athlete from Adygea is vice-European champion in triple jump

Olesya Zabara from Maikop has won a silver medal in triple jump at the Indoor European Athletics Championships held on March 4-6 in Paris.

On March 5, 2011, the world-class athlete Olesya Zabara reached 14.45 meters in her best attempt, second after Italian Simone La Mantia - the winner - with 14.6 meters. The third place went to Slovak Dana Veldakova - 14.39 meters.

Athletes from Europe marked their competition in the capital of France with a lot of great results. In acute contest for awards, the national Russian team was the first in the total medal count: 15 medals.

Earlier, Olesya Zabara became champion of Russia in triple jump with the result of 14.38 meters at the national athletics indoor championships held on February 16-18, 2011, in the football and athletics manege in Moscow.
