Nino Burdjanadze met with short-term OSCE observation mission head

Nino Burdjanadze, Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson and leader of the Burdjanadze - Democrats opposition election bloc met yesterday with Bruce George, Special Coordinator of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office leading the short-term OSCE observation mission.

The violations registered by the OSCE observers during the November 2 parliamentary elections were discussed at the meeting.

"I expressed my position regarding the elections. The authorities are playing with us. They want us to be silent regarding the mass ballot fraud in order to let us clear the 7% barrier. But we are not going to do so," Nino Burdjanadze said after the meeting with the OSCE observer.

Bruce George said the final conclusion of the OSCE over the elections would be rather strict and critical.
