Drivers of fixed-route taxis stop strike in Tbilisi
In Tbilisi, drivers of fixed-route taxis (usually, minivans) have decided to stop their protest. The spokesman of the company "Tbilisi Minivan" has promised that by March the salary payment plan from the daily revenues of the drivers will be revised.
"We have agreed that for seven days the drivers will not make the planned amount, so that they could recover the money lost during the strike," the above spokesman told the "News-Georgia".
Levan Asanidze, Deputy Director of the "Tbilisi Minivan", has also promised that every month a commission will sit and address all the problems.
One of the most important demands – to reduce drivers' individual earning plans – has not been fulfilled; however, according to one of the drivers, it will be reviewed after a month's monitoring.
The "Tbilisi Minibus" is the only company making passenger transportations by minivans, the "Caucasian Knot" reports.
