Batumi holds training course to strengthen relations among young people of Southern Caucasus

On September 13-14, Batumi holds a training course dedicated to strengthening confidence between young people of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and Turkey. This was reported by Aigyul Djafarova, one of the organizers of the training course.

The training course takes place in the form of meetings, conversations, and discussions of problematic topics. It is attended by four young persons from each of the participating countries.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by Aigyul Djafarova, a staff member of the NGO "Azerbaijani European Movement", that the organizers of the training course want Azerbaijan to be integrated into Europe. According to her story, since "true European values" mean peaceful solutions to the conflicts, the countries participating in the training course should learn to live in peace with each other.

Aigyul Djafarova has emphasized that, in general, young people from Azerbaijan are ready to meet their counterparts from Armenia.

Kristina Oganezova, a staff member of the NGO "Armenian European Movement", has explained that the training course is conducted within the framework of the project "Seeds of Trust", dedicated to establishing relations among young people from conflict regions of Southern Caucasus and Turkey and to training skills for peaceful coexistence.

The training course involves experts from Britain and Portugal. This was added by Paata Sheshelidze, a training partner from the Georgian side, the head of the NGO "New European Economic School".
