Ivanishvili: Irakli Garibashvili, head of MIA, will be Georgia's Premier
Following the resignation of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the incumbent Prime Minister of Georgia, this post will be taken by the 31-year-old Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili. This was announced by Bidzina Ivanishvili at today's briefing, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
Let us remind you that on October 28 the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili said that he would resign from his post on November 24. He drew attention to the fact that with the inauguration of the new President of Georgia, a new model of the Constitution should enter into force; and in this regard, the government should resign and receive a vote of confidence from the Parliament.
Irakli Garibashvili was born in June 1982; he is the Interior Minister of Georgia since October 2012.
