Permyakov officially recognizes accusations presented by IC of Armenian

Valery Permyakov, a regular soldier of the 102nd Russian military base, accused of massacring a family in the city of Gyumri, whose interrogation was conducted on January 21 by Armenian investigators, pled guilty on the charges, presented to him by the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 12, in Gyumri, six members of the Avetisyan family were assassinated. The only survivor of the attack – the six-month-old Sergey Avetisyan – was hospitalized in critical condition and underwent his treatment in Yerevan. On January 19, the baby's condition has deteriorated and he died. A Russian regular soldier Valery Permyakov is arrested as a suspect of committing the massacre.

According to the Armenia's IC, Permyakov is accused of killing two or more persons under Article 104, Part 2, Point 1, of the Armenian Criminal Code.

Within the preliminary investigation, the Armenia's IC has already questioned more than 30 people and appointed over ten examinations. The IC has also held operative-search activities and is conducting a preliminary investigation into the case.

The mass murder in Gyumri has triggered a wave of protests after the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia said the Russian soldier, suspected of the crime, would not be given out to Armenian law enforcement bodies, since he is a citizen of Russia.
