Abramyan's detention in Stavropol IVS extended by five days
The staff of the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) in Stavropol refused to release Mikhail Abramyan from the facility, saying that he must serve five days more of his punishment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 11, in Stavropol, the court recognized Mikhail Abramyan guilty of disorderly conduct and sentenced him to seven days of administrative arrest. After the decision of the court was announced, he was hospitalized. On April 15, according to the party colleagues of Mikhail Abramyan, the police discharged him from the hospital and took him away to some unknown destination. On April 16, the advocate found his client at the IVS; however, Abramyan was twice refused of the meeting with his client.
"His punishment was over on April 18 at 11:50 a.m. Moscow time. We came at 11:00 to meet Mikhail to the building of the Stavropol UVD (Interior department). However, he didn't appear. The police told us that he would serve his term until April 22; since he was kept at the IVS since April 15," Eduard Marshankulov, First Secretary of the Stavropol branch of the "Communists of Russia" Party, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Mikhail Abramyan asked to appeal against his 5-day custody extension, said his advocate Nikolai Fedotov.
