Relatives of men, detained during CTO in Ingushetia, report on their disappearance

Residents of the village of Surkhakhi of the Nazran District have reported that they are unable to locate Tagir, Abo and Alikhan Bogatyryov, detained in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) on October 12. Officials from the law enforcement bodies have reported that they have no information on the whereabouts of the detainees.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 12, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in a number of villages of the Nazran District and in the town of Karabulak. During the special operation, according to the law enforcement bodies, three persons were killed, and four others were detained.

According to Madina, the wife of Tagir Bogatyryov, on October 12, law enforcers visited their house in the village of Surkhakhi, and took her husband away with them. The woman has added that her husband is a Category II invalid and that he suffers from epilepsy.

"We have filed a complaint about the disappearance of my husband to the Ingush Prosecutor's Office, to the human rights organization 'MASHR', to Ombudsman Djambulat Ozdoev, and to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) 'Memorial'," Madina has said.

Fatima Bogatyryova, a resident of the village of Surkhakhi, has reported that she has appealed to the same institutions with a complaint about the disappearance of her sons Abo and Alikhan, who were detained on October 12.
