In Makhachkala, police bring "Kommersant" reporters to ROVD

Dmitry Korotaev and Grigory Tumanov, reporters of the "Kommersant", have confirmed that they were detained while they were filming a prayer at a mosque in Kotrov Street in Makhachkala. According to them, law enforcers brought the detainees to the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Makhachkala, mass detentions of believers have taken place in mosques located in Kotrov Street and Hungarian Fighters Street. During the police raid, gunfire was heard in Kotrov Street. According to witnesses, two "Kommersant" reporters were also detained.

At least 40 people were brought to the Kirov ROVD from the mosque in Kotrov Street, an eyewitness reports. According to him, believers from the mosque in Hungarian Fighters Street were brought to the Soviet ROVD.

Photo reporter Dmitry Korotaev has said that he and his colleague were detained while they were filming a prayer in the mosque. Law enforcers did not explain their actions. They threatened to seize from the photo reporter his equipment and the materials filmed, the "Kommersant" reports.
