Believers evacuated from mosque in Kotrov Street because of bomb report

In Makhachkala, the mosque in Kotrov Street was cordoned off by law enforcers in connection with the information about a bomb. This was reported by members of the mosque community. The information about the explosive device has not been confirmed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 20, a conflict occurred around the Salafi mosque in Kotrov Street after the Muftiyat had decided to appoint Daud Tumalaev the Imam of the mosque, although his candidacy had been agreed with the members of the community. Then, instead of him, Magomedrasul Saaduev, Imam of the central mosque of Makhachkala, was appointed. However, the Salafis did not treat him as a compromise figure. On November 29, it became known that the Muftiyat released Magomedrasul Saaduev from his post at the mosque "An-Nadiriyah" and provided the Jamaat with the opportunity to elect the new Imam.

In the morning of November 30, the building of the mosque in Kotrov Street was cordoned off by law enforcers in connection with the information about a bomb. This was written by Abu Karim Charinsky, a member of the Ilyas community, on his Facebook page.

The mosque-goers believe law enforcers have cordoned off the mosque to install at the building special facilities to record conversations and shoot on video all the events inside the building. This was stated by Murad, a believer.

Meanwhile, a new Imam of the mosque is to be elected in the nearest future. According to Ziyavutdin Uvaisov, a member of the association "Ahl al-Sunnah", the candidacy of the Imam will be approved by the board of the mosque.
