Residents of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh feel Azerbaijani earthquake
Residents of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have felt a tremor registered in Azerbaijan. According to the preliminary information, there are no victims or destructions in all three regions of the South Caucasus.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred at 6:38 a.m. Baku time. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicentre of the seismic event was located 17 km north-west from the town of Yardymly.
In the territory of Azerbaijan, residential settlements close to the epicentre felt an earthquake with a magnitude of up to 3, the "APA" reports. According to the preliminary information, no victims and destructions are reported.
Today, Nagorno-Karabakh has also felt tremors with a magnitude of 3-4, reports the rescue service of the republic. It is noted that there are no victims or destructions.
On their Facebook pages, residents of Nagorno-Karabakh report that they had felt tremors in the morning. So, Alina Pogosyan, a resident of Stepanakert, writes on her Facebook page: "It was a strong tremor, and I guess it was a 4-magnitude earthquake."
The earthquake was felt in Armenia. According to the Seismic Protection Service of the Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, the earthquake in the territory of Azerbaijan was with a magnitude of 4.8.
