Abdulatipov urges not to use mother's death in Khasavyurt to foment dissent
Tragedies, like the incident in the perinatal centre of Khasavyurt, are used to foment dissent, said the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov, adding that the inquiry into the woman's death is under his personal control.
In the morning of February 3, in Khasavyurt, relatives of Zalina Dalieva, a local woman, who died on January 29 after a surgery, came to the building of the perinatal centre. People claimed that the woman's death was caused by doctors' fault. As at 3:30 p.m. of February 3, according to a woman participating in the protest action, about 1300 people gathered near the perinatal centre.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to the Ministry of Public Health of Dagestan, that they are conducting an investigation into the death of Zalina Dalieva.
Today, the employees of the perinatal centre in Khasavyurt came to their workplaces but refused to work, stating their fear of reprisals from local residents, the "Chernovik" reports.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no information about the checks conducted by law enforcers of the protests held in front of the clinic.
However, these protests were harshly criticized by the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov.
"Unfortunately, there are people in Khasavyurt, who are using even such tragedies for kindling protests moods. All the problems should be solved within the legal sphere. There are competent bodies to do this. I keep the investigation under my personal control," Abdulatipov wrote in his page on the Instagram.
