Mosque-goers tell about provocations before attempt on Chumakov (+video)
Prior to attempt on Imam Khamzat Chumakov, some stranger, unknown to his supporters, twice tried to provoke him. On the day of the attempt, he called Chumakov and mosque-goers to go to the place where later a car was exploded.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 11, after the Friday prayer, an explosion was triggered outside the mosque in Nasyr Kort; as a result, four persons suffered.
One of the believers said that he associated binds the explosion with the conflict of the Ingush Muftiate and Imam Chumakov.
On June 4, 2015, in Nasyr-Kort, a conflict with shooting broke out between supporters and opponents of Imam Chumakov. The Mufti of Ingushetia, Isa-Haji Khamkhoev, urged Chumakov to give way to Imam Rustam Chakhkiev, appointed by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM).
Despite warnings about plotted attempts on Chumakov, he himself and his parishioners looked confused after the explosion, said a local resident named Makhmud. He added that one of the mosque-goers behaved "inadequately".
The clan that formed around the heritage of one of the Vainakh Ustazes of the 19th-20th centuries is interested to eliminate Imam Chumakov, said one of his supporters named Adam. According to his story, two months ago they began shadowing Chumakov; and his pursuers tried to provoke a road accident with the Imam's car.
