Dagestani policeman shot dead in his house

The police are looking for two men, who have killed last night a district policeman in the Dagestani village of Ashaga-Stal, said a law enforcement source from Dagestan.

According to his story, the murder has been committed tonight.

"According to preliminary data, two unidentified men, armed with firearms, entered the house where the policeman's family lives, and shot him dead in the eyes of his wife and two children," the "Interfax" quotes the source as saying.

The source has noted that investigators consider the policeman's official activities as the main motive for the murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on April 28 the former head of the Shamil ROVD (District Interior Division) of Dagestan, was assassinated. According to law enforcers, he was also killed for his service activities.
