Valery Permyakov's advocate demands to annul first interrogation of his client

Relatives and successors of the victims have supported the motion filed by Eduard Agadjanyan, an advocate of Valery Permyakov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2015, the trial in the criminal case against Valery Permyakov was started in the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri. Valery Permyakov has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for desertion, theft, and illegal possession of weapons.

The advocate has filed a motion to recognize the first interrogation of his client as null and void. The motion was reasoned by violations committed on the part of the advocate, who attended the interrogation, since he was invited by the Armenian side. According to the defender, at the stage of the first interrogation, the advocate of the Bar Association of Armenia had no right to defend interests of the Russian citizen.

Judge Arutyun Movsisyan has postponed the trial until next Friday to make a decision concerning the filed motions, the "Armenian News" reports.
