Volgograd City Duma deputies approve outsourcing in kindergartens

Deputies of the City Duma of Volgograd have approved by majority the concept of outsourcing for catering in kindergartens. Meanwhile, the petition against outsourcing in kindergartens posted on the website "Change.org" has already collected 452 signatures.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the idea to give catering in kindergartens for outsourcing was initiated by the administration of Volgograd. According to the authorities, the above decision shall improve the quality of food in kindergartens and optimize expenses for catering. However, residents of Volgograd opposed the decision of the city administration.

The decision-making by the deputies was preceded by heated debate, reports the website of the City Duma of Volgograd.

The adoption of the project shall not result in dismissal of employees of kindergartens. According to the City Duma of Volgograd, kitchen staff will work for outsourcing company to be determined through an open competition.

Olga Cheburakova, the chair of the movement "Volgograd Parents Children's Rights", initiated a picket against outsourcing for catering in kindergartens. The action is sanctioned for November 11.
