IOC annuls Olympic result of weightlifter from Azerbaijan
The International Olympic Committee has annulled the fifth place of Azerbaijani athlete Boyanka Kostova, achieved by her at the Olympic Games in London.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Boyanka Kostova (58 kg) became the fifth in the weightlifting competition at the 2012 Olympic Games.
The first positive doping test of the athlete was got in June. For that reason, Boyanka Kostova, World and European champion, was not admitted to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the results of the sample re-testing, the IOC included Boyanka Kostova in the list of athletes whose Olympic results had been annulled, the "Azerisport.com" reports.
Let us remind you that Boyanka Kostova is one of the Bulgarian athletes, who are members of the Azerbaijani national team. According to swimmer Alexander Alexandrov, in Azerbaijan, they have the opportunity to realize their potential, while in Bulgaria, "there are people who interfere with their development."
