Golubev asks 300 million roubles from Medvedev for “Kingcoal” miners
The government of the Rostov Region intends to spend the requested money to pay salary debts to over 2700 employees of the coal company.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in the period from August 22 to September 27, miners the "Kingcoal" group of companies conducted a hunger strike in the city of Gukovo, demanding to repay the 300 million worth salary debt and give out the so-called “ration coal” as fuel. The authorities announced a start of paying the debt. However, during the meeting on November 7 in Rostov-on-Don, Gukovo miners accused Vasily Golubev, the governor of the region, of a failure to fulfil his promises. According to miners, out of 50 million roubles promised by Golubev, they received only 20 million.

So far, the reaction of the Russian government to the governor’s request is unknown.
