Russia deprived of Olympiс-2012 medal because of doping assay of Volgograd athlete

Due to the positive doping assay of the Volgograd athlete Antonina Krivoshapka, Russia has been deprived of the silver medal of the Olympic Games 2012 in London in the women's 4x400 track-and-field relay, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has reported.

The Russian team of Antonina Krivoshapka, Yulia Guschina, Tatiana Firova and Natalia Antyukh won silver at Olympiad-2012 in London in 2012 in the 4x400 relay, the IOC reports.

The doping assay of the 29-year-old Krivoshapka contained the banned substance Turinabol, the website of the IOC has reported today.
