Officials state compulsion to attend rally in support of Tibilov

Today, at a rally in Tskhinvali, Alla Djioeva, whose victory at the presidential election in South Ossetia in 2011 was declared invalid, has expressed her support for Leonid Tibilov. Employees of the republic’s agencies and ministries said that they were obliged to come to the rally.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the election of the head of South Ossetia is scheduled for April 9.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the rally "Alania for Stability" was attended by about 2500 people. Bosses of state-run entities ordered their subordinates to obligatorily attend the rally, the rally participants said.

A woman employee of the Ministry of Education has noted that all the pre-election events organized by the incumbent president are "obligatory for the staff of state agencies and ministries".

At the rally, party leaders, teachers of schools and the university called the audience to support Tybilov at the upcoming election and help to maintain peace.

David Sanakoev, the leader of the "New Ossetia" Party urged the crowd "to stand next to the president and support him at the April 9 election."
